We're Breaking Out Into The World!

Hello. My name is Ginger. I am a Doberman Pinscher, a.k.a., a dobie. I am 2 years old. I was a street dog until I fell asleep on Grandpa's shoes on their front porch in December 2006 to stay warm. Grandma called Mommy and told her about me. Mommy and Daddy came over and picked me up and bathed me because I had lots of "fleas". They took me home with them, which made me really happy!

They took me to what they call "The Vet" where I was given medicine to get rid of "The Worms". I'm not too sure what some of these words mean, but I do know I feel so much better since I went home with Mommy & Daddy. They let me stay in their spare bathroom, which was great because I got to chew through the drywall and wood cabinets. Then they got me my "House" to stay in when they are not home. I didn't like it at first, so I tried to chew my way out of it, but it didn't work. So then I decided to decorate it by scraping the plastic walls, ceiling, and floor with my teeth for a nice striped decor. Daddy says my house looks like a mental patient's room, but I like the stripes.

A few months passed and Daddy came to live with me full-time. He said he "married" Mommy. Not sure what that means, but I'm glad I get to see him more now. I still don't think Mommy has realized that I am the Alpha Female. I'll have to keep trying to get that through her head...

After some good and fun times passed, Mommy and Daddy and I moved to a new home. That's where we live now. It's much more fun because it has stairs I get to run up and down! Then one day, they brought home something new...

My little sister is Abby and she is a German Shepherd. She is fun to play with. At first, she was so little and delicate that I would bark and growl at any strangers who came near her. She needed protecting, and I was the answer. But then Abby got bigger - big enough to start playing tug-o-war with. That's when life got even more fun!

Now my sister is bigger than me, but I'm still in charge. She likes to play keep away with me, and I enjoy chasing her. She's my best pal.

Just so you know, I have shared with Mommy and Daddy the legacy of the Dober Clan. You see, one day, the Dober Clan will return and destroy all those who are not friends of the dobies. Mommy, Daddy, and Abby are honorary members, so they will be spared. I guess I'll let the cats come too, they are fun to pick on. Anyways, you see, I spend my spare time preparing for the Dober Clan to return by chewing my Nylabones into spear-shaped pieces. They will be our weapons. But everytime I manage to get a Nylabone down to the small spear size I like, Mommy throws it away. She says she's afraid I will "choke" on it. Whatever that means. I just want you all to be warned about the Return of the Dober Clan, so that you can seek to become my friend now, before it's too late...
